Who we are
This website is run by the club's advisor and officers to manage membership, events, service points and dues for the North Paulding High School chapter of the Computer Science Honor Society.
What we collect
- Parent or guardian email addresses. We use these for account invitations, announcements and event reminders. We do not collect student email addresses.
- Account details: a username and password. Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form and can't be read by anyone.
- Membership details: graduation year, induction year, T-shirt size, membership status and officer positions.
- Participation: event signups, attendance and service points, and responses to club forms. Forms marked anonymous don't record who responded.
- Payment records: the amount, date and RevTrak order number for dues and registration. Payments are processed by RevTrak, the school district's payment system. We never see or store card details.
- Marquee message orders: the message, requested display date and design, the buyer's name and email address, and an image of the scheduled message, so we can schedule it and send the buyer a confirmation. The student names entered with the order are not stored.
- Event photos that officers post from club events.
- Activity records: login attempts (with the username and the device's IP address) and a record of emails the site sends. These are kept for 12 months and then deleted automatically.
What we don't store
Student names and student ID numbers are not stored on this website. The club advisor keeps them in a private file, and they appear only on the advisor's own computer while using the site.
The site has no advertising and no tracking or analytics, and we never sell or share information for marketing.
Who can see it
Members can see their own information. Club officers and the advisor can see club records as needed to run the club.
We share information only with the services that run the site: our web host, our email service, and RevTrak for payments.
Email choices
On the Communication Preferences page, you can choose which emails each address receives. Account emails, like invitations and password resets, are always sent.
Cookies
The site uses one cookie to keep you logged in. The club calendar loads a display tool from jsDelivr, a public code service, which can see your device's IP address when the calendar page loads.
Keeping and removing information
Member records are kept while a student is a member and afterward for club history, such as graduation recognition. To correct or delete information, or to have a photo removed, contact the advisor.
